Aldeen Bauer's Obituary

Aldeen Bauer, 96, formerly of Williamsport and Hughesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at AristaCare of Loyalsock with her daughter, Diane, at her side.
Aldeen was born in Sykesville on June 4, 1922, the daughter of William and Mary Crawford Stahl.
She was a graduate of Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing and when she was younger had worked as an RN in the operating room and as a private duty nurse. For over 35 years she watched children in her home; over that span she had watched over 100 children. She enjoyed watching movies and going to local musical concerts.
Her husband of over 25 years, Robert H. Bauer, died in 1970.
Surviving are her children, Diane L. Minnich, of Hughesville; William R. Bauer, of Harrisburg; and Carolyn Johnson, of Wilmington, Del.; nine grandchildren, Greg, Stephanie, Heidi, Katrina, Michael, Paul, Heather, Lance and Delta; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday March 8, from 11 a.m. until noon at Crouse Funeral Home and Cremation Svcs., 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Aldeen's name be made to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
