Ann Marie (Segraves) Kiessling, 84, a lifelong resident of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2019, at home surrounded by family.
Born Jan. 5, 1935, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late Colonel and Marie (Engel) Segraves.
Ann married the love of her life, Richard E "Dick" Kiessling, and they enjoyed 49 years together before his passing.
She was a graduate of WAHS Class of 1953. She attended the Williamsport Area Community College (WACC) and was honored to be part of a group to receive a certificate from the Vo-Tech business program. Ann was instrumental in the start-up of the Visitation Church; she took pride in being one of the founders.
Ann was the very proud mother of Donnie Kiessling, of South Williamsport, Karen (Randy) Fischer, both of Williamsport, Linda (Chris) Rook, of Bluffton, S.C., Rick (Margie) Kiessling, of Linden, and Jack Kiessling, of Bradenton, Fla. She was the loving Mom-Mom to 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, Colonel and Marie Segraves, her husband, Dick Kiessling, a sister, Teresa Patt, brothers, Jim, Bob, Gene, Ned, and George, also one grandson, Kyle Kiessling.
"Mom was a very caring individual who led by example assisting the unfortunate. She was a strong willed woman/mother/entrepreneur with a never-ending can-do attitude. She enjoyed boating, dancing and spending time with the family on the Susquehanna River. Mom will forever be in our hearts and memories."
The viewing will be held on Sunday July 21, at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, 6 to 8 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. prior to visitation.
A Holy Mass to honor the life of Ann will be held 11 a.m. Monday July 22, at Visitation Church in South Williamsport. Following mass, the burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.
