Bernard G. Kolczynski, 87, of Montoursville, passed away at ManorCare Health Services, North, on Feb. 5, 2019.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 1, 1932, a son of Frances and Catherine Szyblewski Kolczynski.

Bernard attended Duquesne University and was a graduate of Robert Morris Business College. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and as a CPA he served as CFO of Lamco Communication. Bernard enjoyed playing chess in his time off. In his youth, he played accordion in local bands in the Pittsburgh area.

Bernard was a Korean War Army veteran.

His wife of 58 years, the former Lillian H. Shimkets, died Sept. 28, 2010.

Surviving are his daughter, Janet M. Kolczynski of Montoursville; a son, Gary D. (Pamela) Kolczynski, of Bastress Township; granddaughters, Leanna Kolczynski, of Pittsburgh; and Natalie Kolczynski, of State College.

In addition to his parents and wife, two sisters preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends at the church from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701, with the Rev. William Corcoran officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church.
