Bernard J Kiessling Sr (fondly known as "Bernie"), 72, went to be with the Lord on Feb 15,2020 due to complications of Primary Progressive Aphasia at AristaCare in Loyalsock PA. Bernie and his wife, the former Kathleen Levengood, celebrated 53 years together.

Born in Williamsport on February 4, 1948 he was the oldest son of the late John Kiessling Sr and Norma Brown. He graduated from Williamsport High School and WACC in 1966 and worked at Plankenhorn Stationary for 35 years as a printer. He later retired from Magnus High Tech Industries in Melbourne, FL as a laser operator.

Before moving to Florida, Bernie was a longtime member of St Boniface Catholic Church where he served on many committees over the years. He could also be found socializing in many of the local clubs such as the Harmonia and the Eagles. Bernie loved to sit at the family cabin with a beer in hand watching the creek go by. Back in the day he could be seen at the local bars dancing away to his favorite band, Airborne. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and going camping with his family.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Kathy; his son, Bernard (B.J.) Kiessling Jr; and his daughter, Brenda Scott (Kevin) all of Williamsport. Bernie was adored by three grandsons, three granddaughters and two great grandchildren as well as his (step) father, Albert Brown of Williamsport. He is also survived by his sister, Deb Carestia (Steve) of Lancaster and a brother, John Kiessling Jr (Donna) of SC; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and his quirky cat, Pest.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman C Kiessling Sr and Edward C Kiessling.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, at 3:30 pm at Crouse's Funeral Home with Tracey Showers officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until the time of the service.
