Beverly J. Lippoli, 87, formerly of Loyalsock Township, died Saturday,

January 25, 2020, at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born February 23, 1932, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late

Folmer J. and Doris E. (Jones) Sampsell.

She and her late husband of almost 40 years, John Henry Lippoli, were

married June 30, 1950, at Mater Dolorosa Church.

A 1949 graduate of Williamsport High School, Beverly began working in

childhood. Among her places of employment as a young woman were Kelchner's Restaurant, Hurr's Dairy Store, Woolworth's lunch counter, Eureka Paper Box,

and the Park and Keystone movie theaters where she developed a life-long interest

in the movies. As an adult, she worked in customer service for the Big N and Wes Freedman department stores, and as a dental assistant.

Since 1962, she was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters: Lana L. Raymond (John) and Lesa L. Sweeley

(Timothy); five grandchildren: Benjamin Raymond (fiancee Katelyn and her daughter Alexa), Samuel Raymond (Megan), Victoria Neifert, Lindsay Sweeley, and Faith

Sweeley; a half-brother John A. Rosevear; and a half-sister Jill A. Sowich. A brother,

Terry F. Sampsell, predeceased her.

A generous mother and grandmother who loved cooking for all, Beverly showed

great kindness toward her grandchildren, loved their company, and provided quality

time for them as often as possible.

She enjoyed assembling family photo albums & scrapbooks, reading the newspaper, gardening, cleaning her house, mowing her lawn, painting her chimney, and doing most things herself, even into her seventies.

Fond of God's creatures, she provided a loving home to lucky pets during her

lifetime. Many were rescues: Parkey, Teddy, Lady, Arnold, Toby, Sylvester, Wally, Daisy, Princess, and her last buddy, Boo.

She had a sense of humor and appreciated one in others, often using a good

laugh as an answer to many of life's challenges. Both she and her "answers" will

be missed and remembered.

Beverly's family would like to thank the staff at Valley View Rehab and Nursing

Center for the compassionate care they provided her during her stay with them.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Crouse Funeral Home. There will be

no visitation. A private service, for immediate family, will be held in the Chapel at Wildwood Cemetery on Saturday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be next to

her husband, John, who passed away in 1990. The family will provide the flowers.
