Bret L. Guisewhite, 59, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by loving family. He passed away following a courageous battle with a fast-moving disease.

Bret LaRue Guisewhite was born in Muncy on May 8, 1965 a son of the late Terry LaRue Guisewhite and Bonnie (Hakes) Cromley.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Eck's Garage and later at Updegraff Trucking. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was as a carpenter, or just tinkering. A lifetime member of the NRA, he enjoyed hunting, fishing or spending time outdoors, especially spending time with family and friends at the river lot.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Michele (Bergman) Guisewhite, they celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary, July 12, 2024. Additionally, he is survived by his loving children; Brandi Arnold (Justin) of Texas, Jessi Guisewhite (Justin Dunlap) of Pa, Theophanea Shank (Katy) of Maine, Zachary Bergman of Pa; eight grandchildren, a great granddaughter; siblings, Robin Hauck (Mike) of PA, Christopher Cromley (Lynelle) of PA and Lisa Singleton (Steve) of PA.

In addition to his father, a sister Heather Mae, and Step-father Thomas Cromley preceded him in death.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 from 6 to 8pm.

Burial in Elimsport Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made in Bret's name to the Geisinger Knapper Clinic, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822, with the family name in the memo.
