Brooks "Raymond" Probst, age 90, of Lakeland, FL, died on April 20, 2024 at home.

Born on March 31, 1934 at Lock Haven, PA., he was the son of the late Brooks L. Probst and Isabelle M. Hamor Probst.

He was a combat veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as an Aviation Boatswain Mate aboard the U.S.S. Hornet CVA-12 during the Korean War. He earned the Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct, China Service, Occupational Service (Europe), National Defense, Korean Service and United Nations Service Medals.

He worked locally for the Williamsport SunGazette, Pennsylvania Railroad, Treasurer of Trimtex Div. of Wm. E. Wright and Sons Co., and Vice President of ShopVac Corp.

He was the Management Consultant in New England for 15 years for companies as Textron, C-Line, Reed Plastics, ETC.

He had an Accounting and CPA degree from Lasalle University, IBM Computer Executive Schools, Dun & Bradstreet Credit and Financial Analysis and Principles of Industrial Engineering and Time Study Analysis from Penn State.

Past President of Williamsport Chapter National Association of Accountants.

Plankowner of the Aircraft Carrier Hornet Foundation Museum at Alameda, CA.

Surviving are daughter Christy M. Probst Lauzon of Lakeland FL., and grandson Brooks Lamkin. Preceding him in death are son Raymond D. Probst, and brothers William and Robert F. Probst.

Burial was at the Swissdale Cemetery, Lock Haven PA with full Military Honors.
