Carl A. Nolan, a lifetime resident of South Williamsport, passed from this life on October 11, 2021 at UPMC Williamsport.

Born in Williamsport, Carl was the second child of the family of two children of the late Arthur and Ethel (Whitmoyer) Nolan of Williamsport.   Carl was raised in South Williamsport and graduated from South Williamsport High School.   During his scholastic years, Carl excelled athletically in football and basketball.   He attended Lycoming College, where he received a bachelor's degree.   Also, Carl played basketball collegiately for the Lycoming College Warriors.

Carl was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Parish and Williamsport Masonic Lodge.   He was also a PIAA official for over 50 years in basketball and football.  Lastly, he was a charter member of the West Branch Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame

In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, watching Penn State games on Saturday, and watching his children play sports.

Carl was employed by the Williamsport Redevelopment Authority as a director.   Later, he received his real estate broker's license and became proprietor of Carl Nolan Real Estate and Auctioneers.

Carl is survived by his wife, Mary G. (Casale) Nolan, and their children; Carl R. (Mary A.) Nolan of South Williamsport, Cynthia (William) Pagana of Loyalsock Twp., James R. (Melanie) Nolan of Downingtown, PA; six grandchildren, Vincent and Joseph Nolan, Francis, Samantha, and Alexandria Pagana, Elijah Nolan, and brother-in-law, William Agnone of Montoursville.

Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by his sister, Sarah Nolan of San Francisco.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions in Carl's name be made to the Lycoming County SPCA., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701
