Catherine E. Reed, 67, of Williamsport, passed away at home on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, following a courageous 13-month battle with cancer.

She was born in Williamsport on Aug. 8, 1952, a daughter of William E. and Betty (Lovell) Breasette.

Catherine had been a member of Third Street United Methodist church and had volunteered in the kitchen for years.

Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Carl E. Reed; daughters, Sherry Anderson, and Tammera Tripoli; son, Sheldon Reed; grandchildren, Megan Schoonmaker, Rebecca Miller, Benjamin Tripoli, Paige Tripoli, Alexis Hunter, Chase Reed, Jacob Reed, Travis Anderson, and Ally Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, William, Robert and Eddie Breasette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace and Olive Breasette.

The family will receive friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Wednesday Jan. 29, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon. Following the funeral, burial will take place at Montoursville Cemetery.
