Cecil "Chet" T. Holliday 87, of Williamsport Pa, died at home on Friday, November 23, 2018.

Born in Vicksburg, MS, he was the son of Ella (Chappell) and John E Holliday.

Chet grew up in Mississippi and then enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He met the

love of his life, Shirley, at a dance while stationed at Moffett Field in California.

They started their family in California before Chet was transferred to Pennsylvania.

Chet and his beloved wife, Shirley M (Andersen) Holliday, celebrated their 66 ^th wedding anniversary in September 2018.

Chet worked at Litton Industries for 25 years and later at Brodart Industries, before retiring.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, gardening and his Saturday "breakfast with the boys".

Lover of country music, catfish fries, and a good beer, Chet was a voracious reader, amateur

meteorologist, raconteur, and smartest guy in the world.

Above all else, Chet loved his family and cherished every moment he had with his wife, kids and grandkids .

In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his son: John, husband of Adele; daughters: Lauri,

wife of David Pierce, Catherine, wife of Edward Oehrig, and Wendy, wife of John Alleborn;

grandchildren: Cristen Oehrig, wife of Tyler Satre, Madeline Alleborn  and Finnian Alleborn;  nieces,

nephews and many cousins. Chet was predeceased by his beloved sister, Helen (Holliday) Lee.
