Cecilia V.  Haldeman, 93, of Bastress, passed away at Nippenose Valley Village on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

She was born in Bastress Twp. on November 22, 1931, a daughter of the late George L. and Clara M. (Deutschle) Steinbacher.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception of the BVM Church, and was a former member of the church's St. Ann's Society.  For Cecilia her family was the center of her life.

Her loving husband of 50 years, Jerry W. Haldeman, preceded her in death on May 18, 2004.

She is survived by their seven children and their families; Mary Ann Paschall, Susan M. (Robert) Fricke, Mabel G. (Wayne) Schuster, Scott (Elizabeth) Haldeman, Bernard M. (Sharon) Haldeman, Karen A. (Kenneth) Fisher, Jeffrey S. (Jayne) Haldeman; 26 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Jerry, Cecilia was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joshua and Emily; brothers, Lawrence, Leonard, Leo, Paul, George, Gerald Steinbacher; sisters Rita Schuler and Rose Young.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception of BVM Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Rd, Williamsport, PA 17702, 11 a.m. on February 1, 2025 with her pastor, Rev. Bert S. Kozen officiating, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
