Charles R. "Chuck" Keifer, 75, of Williamsport, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019.

He was born in Williamsport on May 25, 1944, a son of Harry E. and Gladys (Hartman) Keifer.

Chuck was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School. He had been employed for 33 years at the former Trimtex and retired in 2012 from Susquehanna Health. When he was younger, he enjoyed bowling in various leagues. A sport fanatic he followed the Phillies, San Francisco 49ers, Duke, and Penn State football. Chuck enjoyed going to the Cross Cutters games and from 1955 until recently he attended every Little League World Series. He also umpired in the Memorial and Newberry Little League and at Original League where his son played little league, additionally he coached Sweet Steel's minor league team at Newberry.

He and his wife, the former Joan M. Wolf recently celebrated their 50 ^th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2019.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenneth C. Keifer of Williamsport, two brothers, Russel (Jackie) Keifer of Ithaca, NY, and Harry E. Keifer of Williamsport, many, nieces, nephews, cousins and his granddog Bree.

He was predeceased by his parents and several granddogs whom he loved dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Corcoran officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 to 1:00 pm Monday.

Burial will be in St. Boniface Church Cemetery.
