Cheryl Anne Fessler, 81, of Williamsport, formerly of Duboistown, passed at The Gatehouse on April 30, 2026.

She was born in Suffern, NY on May 6, 1944, daughter of the late Clifton Albert Decker and Helen "Penny" (Halloran) Ackerman.

A long-time member of the Nisbet United Methodist Church, she sang in the choir and proudly served in numerous office positions. She was an avid bowler. Known for her sense of style and love of dressing up, (including Halloween!) she adored her family, and loved making every holiday/occasion special.

Cheryl's husband of 21 years, Harvey Fessler, preceded her in death on March 10, 2020.

She is survived by children Tamara (Ted) Patterson-Taylor of South Williamsport, Michael Patterson of Richmond, VA, Curtis Warnasch of Williamsport, and Douglas (Rose) Fessler of Williamsport; grandchildren Allison (Ian) Dorman, Caitlyn Taylor, Curtis Fessler, and Sianna Gair; great-granddaughter Alice Fessler; sister Tippett "Tippy" (Robert) Muller; as well as a niece and nephews and special extended family member, Jody Hakes.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Cheryl was preceded in death by stepfather James (Penny) Ackerman.

A graveside service will be held on May 8, 2026 at 10:30 am at Twin Hills Memorial Park, 3332 Lycoming Mall Dr., Muncy PA 17756.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made in Cheryl's name to the American Lung Association.
