Daniel S. Shanaway, 51, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly in Birmingham, Ala. On Nov. 5, 2019.

Dan was born in Altoona on Oct. 5, 1968 a son of the late Daniel D. and. Josephine (Sass) Shanaway.

He was a graduate of Moshannon Valley High School in 1986 and Penn State University in 1992

He was employed with Gumdrop books since 1994. Dan was an avid book collector, concert goer, traveler and enjoyed playing wallyball with his many friends.

Surviving are his wife Greta Manikowski, they celebrated their 24 ^th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2019, their daughter ZuZu, brother Mark (Gale) Shanaway of Pittsburg, brother-in-law Joseph Whited of Allmens, PA.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Kimberly Whited, preceded him in death,

The family will receive friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3 ^rd St., Williamsport on Saturday November 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m.
