David R. DeGarmo, 71, of Williamsport passed away peacefully at UPMC Williamsport on Saturday, November 9, 2024 after being stricken at home earlier in the week.

Dave was born in Lock Haven on February 24, 1953, a son of Scott E. and Edith S. (Heaton) DeGarmo.

He had been a chef at the Crippled Bear on Lycoming Creek Rd., Dave enjoyed cooking and fishing.

Surviving are his wife; the former Tammy Hazel, a son, Marcus DeGarmo of Mechanicsburg; eleven step-grandchildren; two, step great granddaughters; brothers, Harold (Kong) DeGarmo of Killeen, Tx, Melvin (Bonnie) DeGarmo of Williamsport, Donnie (Miriam) DeGarmo of Milesburg, Walter (Chris) DeGarmo of South Williamsport, Timothy DeGarmo of Williamsport; sisters, Barbara Miller of Williamsport and Marjorie Watkins of Williamsport.

In addition to his parents, two daughters, Leslie DeGarmo, Dana DeGarmo and sisters, Carol DeGarmo and Rebecca Watkins preceded him in death.

There will be a dinner held on November 23, 2024 from 2-4pm at the Salvation Army, 457 Market St, Williamsport, PA 17701. The family is requesting attendees being their own non-alcoholic beverage.
