David A. "Pete" Eck, 84, formerly of Lewistown, and resident of Williamsport, passed away at The Williamsport Home on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

He was born in Williamsport on July 20, 1934, a son of Charles H. and Agnes M. (Albert) Eck.

David was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, he had been employed for many years at Beavertown Weavery and was a 1953 graduate of the former St. Mary's High School. David's favorite past times were fishing and playing cards.

David was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 until 1960.

Surviving are siblings; Rita Lane of Williamsport, Marjorie Kriner of Bloomsburg, John F. (Roberta) Eck of Montoursville, Thomas H. (Carole) Eck of Warner Robbins, GA , Elaine Dunne of McHenry, Il and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife Judith Eck, a brother Carl Eck, sisters, Rosemary Eck And Josephine Letscher all preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West Fourth St., Williamsport, 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 with the Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
