Diane M. Steinbacher, 74, of South Williamsport, passed away at home, surrounded by her family, June 27, 2024 following an extended illness.

She was born on January 2, 1950, a daughter of the late David D. and Marjorie L. (Temple) Weston.

Diane was a 1967 graduate of South Williamsport High School. Her places of employment over here working career included; a tax preparer for H & R. Block, a teacher's assistant at Nisbet Elementary School, working at the Econo Lodge Restaurant, Little Treasures Preschool and Daycare, Mr. Ed's Catering and as an attendant the Nisbet Station. Diane was also volunteer at West End Christian Community Center. An avid gardener, she enjoyed all types of gardening, especially flowers and vegetables. A homemaker, she also enjoyed canning, but her greatest joy was her family, Diane was a mother to all.

She and her husband, Walter T. Steinbacher would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this October 4, 2024.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by their daughters, Jodi Myrdal of Williamsport, Kristie Steinbacher, of Williamsport, and Jenna  Lorson (Mark II) of Williamsport; grandchildren Evan and Joel Myrdal,  Nora, Mya, and Haven Lorson; sister Jeanie Sherman (Warren) of Montoursville; brother D. Daniel  Weston (Sharon) of Unityville; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 5973 Jacks Hollow Rd., Williamsport PA 17702 on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 11:00am with Rev. Bert Kozen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in Diane's name to West End Christian Community Center, 901 Diamond St., Williamsport PA 17701.
