Rev. Edgar L. Manns, 1945-2026, passed away peacefully at Hillside Senior Living. He went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 28 after a long illness. Born in Scranton, PA to Carl Lester Manns and Theresia Katherin Klein, he was very active in Youth for Christ, singing in a touring quartet called Men of Triumph.

He attended Toccoa Falls College in Georgia, meeting his first wife at a church where he served as music director. He also served as the college plumber for several years. Edgar pastored several churches in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and New York state with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 50 years.  Known by many children as "Uncle Edgar," he introduced them to Christ through gospel magic and story-telling at camps and vacation Bible schools.

He is survived by his second wife, Susan, his brother, Irwin, his daughter, Erin Muthler, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol and his brother, Carl.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Greenview Alliance Church on April 27 at 10:00 a.m.
