Eleanor L. Hanna, 89, formerly of Montoursville, passed away at UPMC Susquehanna on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

Eleanor was born in Gleason on July 14, 1930, a daughter of Frances and Laura (Carl) Stone.

She was a homemaker and for years helped run the family business, Dick's Bargain Shop. Eleanor enjoyed playing cards, board games, horseshoes, but for the most part, just enjoyed spending time with her family.

She and her husband, Richard G. Hanna Sr., met in Harrisburg when she was working there, they were married for 60 years before his death on August 2, 2010.

Surviving three sons, David A. (Stephanie) Hanna, Thomas H. (Alice) Hanna, Donald B. (Pamela) Hanna; Stepson Richard G ( Linda ) Hanna, three grandchildren, James (Shelly) Hanna, Brian Hanna, Michael (Heather) Hanna; eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Jesie, Ariana,  Hunter, Bolin, Elisa, Tucker, and Isabella; four siblings, Evelyn Blow, Jean Shaner, Clarence Stone and Linda Runkel.

In addition to her parents and husband; four sisters, Florence Morgan, Doris Stone, Edith Lucas and Janet Wagner all preceded her in death.

Due to current health concerns, previous services have been canceled.

A private family graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Montoursville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contribution may be made in Eleanor's name to a charity of choice.
