Mrs. Ellen Mae Kriner (Nee Warrenberger) of Williamsport passed into eternal peace on Saturday October 19, 2024, at the Gatehouse after suffering a heart attack the previous week.

Born on May 7, 1940, in Williamsport she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie Roller Warrenberger. Ellen was married to the late Arthur W. Kriner Jr for 47 years at the time of his passing.

Ellen spent her life as a homemaker proudly caring for her family. From the words of Ellen's daughter, Deb; Our Mother was the center of our lives making it the best she could. If mom was having a difficult day, we never knew it! Picnics, parties, holidays were full of cousins and friends and more. Her door was always open to all. As we grew and got married, the grandchildren started pouring in and her heart just got bigger and bigger as she had more people to love and care for. It was her life's calling, and she fulfilled it masterfully.

Surviving are her children, Deborah Phillips McGee, Barbara Phillips Menard, James Kriner (Kelly), Timothy Kriner (Amy). She is also survived by her stepchildren; Lisa Johnson, Patricia Powell (Bill), Mark Kriner Sr, Arthur W. Kriner III (Robin), Susan Adams.

Ellen is survived by 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren as well as many treasured nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her late husband, Arthur W. Kriner Jr, her daughter, Kim Phillips Douty, son in law, James Douty, stepson, Michael Kriner Sr, Her two brothers, Paul Gallew and Neil Gallew. Her sisters, Emma Godfrey, Ann Louise Turik and Shirley Bitler.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UPMC Williamsport and the Gatehouse for their excellent care as well as the staff at Valley View nursing home who cared for her the last few years.

Services will be held October 26, 2024, at Warrensville Community Church, 5748 Warrensville Road Williamsport, PA 17701. Visitation from 1-2pm with service at 2pm.
