Elsie M. Sechler, 87, a resident of WeCare at Sycamore passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025.  We are heartbroken to lose someone so special. She was a wonderful woman who will be deeply missed.

Elsie was born in Williamsport on February 13, 1938, a daughter of Phil L. Loveland and Pauline (Konkle) Loveland.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, had been active in the quilting club and in the publication of the church's newsletter, "The Lion".

Her husband of 29 years, James F. Sechler, died May 11, 2006.

Surviving are her step children; Elizabeth A. (John) Bower of Yonkers, NY, Bertha M. Keagle of Savannah, NY; step-grandchildren, James (Chris) Keagle, Teresa (Mark) Miller, Matthew (Tammie) Keagle, Jason (Dawn) Keagle and Katie (Herberto) DeLaCruz; 16 step-great grandchildren, 22 step-great great grandchildren; a brother Robert Loveland of Williamsport and many cousins, including two special cousins that kept in regular contact, Kay (Mark) Dunn and Carl (Ruth) Meuller.

In addition to her parents and husband, a sister, Mary Helen Scinicariello and a grandson, Mark Keagle preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 142 Market St., Williamsport, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025 with her pastor, Rev. Brian Vasey officiating. Burial will take place following the service in the church's columbarium.

In lieu of flowers it was Elsie's wish for you to take a friend to lunch or dinner and tell them the things we often only think of after someone is gone.
