Eugene J. Schramm ,94, formerly of Montgomery County, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Rose View Nursing Center.

He was born in Grassflat on July 12, 1925 a son of Eugene and Helen Jackson Schramm.

Eugene was a graduate of the former St. Joseph High School, Lycoming College and Lock Haven Teacher's College, now Lock Haven University

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle whose life was devoted to making a life for his family a wonderful experience, filled with love, compassion, and faith. He was a good husband, father and grandfather who provided for his family.  He began his life as a 9 ^th grade Math and Science teacher, which led to his career in the engineering field at the Martin Co., Baltimore, Md., where he developed many details for the airplane and space industry. His work career ended at Vibration Specialties, Philadelphia. During his work life, he spent time at NASA with several astronauts.

Eugene was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater with the Seabees during WWII.

He is survived his children and their families, Karen Person of Philadelphia, Stephen Schramm and wife Susan Yohe of Jersey Shore, now residing in Schwenksville, PA; three grandchildren, Matthew J. Schramm and wife Mindy of Pottstown, PA; Timothy P. Person of Philadelphia; and Casey Schramm of Pottstown. Also, he is survived by a sister, Alice Schramm and sister-in-law Patricia Schramm, both of Williamsport; four great grandchildren, Liam, Gabriel, Riley and Addison, of Pottstown, PA; Goddaughter and niece and great nephew, Garrett, all of whom reside in Towanda, PA. Also, she is survived by nephews John and wife Toni Flook of South Williamsport, great nephew Joseph Flook and wife, Terri of Nisbet, and children Cassandra, Corissa, and Melissa; great nieces Christine and husband Kirk Caruso of Williamsport and children Nicholas and Anthony; and Deanna Flook of South Williamsport. Also survived by Goddaughter and niece Karen Schramm, niece Kim and Husband Glenn Henning of Bailey, CO and great nephew Michael and great niece Michelle Henning; niece Donna Ruble, and nieces Kim Ruble, Pam, and Nephew Michael  and Christopher of NJ; Barbara and husband Luther (Skip) Krietz, Alison and Keith Savage and Dustin Krietz; Theresa Orwig, Maryann Kerbacker, and Robin Finn; Edward and wife Christine DeBrody of Williamsport; Chuck and wife Kim DeBrody of Williamsport.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia Wyckoff , and his; sister Patricia DeBrody, brother Alfred C. Schramm, niece Stephanie DeBrody, three nephews, Raymond 'Butch' Flook, John Flook,  and Stephen Kerbacher,

The family will receive family and friends in the church's portico from 9 to 10 am on Thursday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on August 9, 2019 at St. Joseph of the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4 ^th St., Williamsport with the Rev. Brian Van Fossen officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
