Frank “Mr. P” Pugliese, 97, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at The Presbyterian Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Williamsport on July 10, 1929, he was the son of Pasquale and Carmella (Cioffi) Pugliese. Frank dedicated over 45 years of his life to his work, eventually retiring as the store manager of the former Glick’s Shoe Store. He shared 70 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Helen I. (Wenner) Pugliese, before she passed away on January 20, 2021.
A man of faith and community, Frank was a devout member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a life member of the Gesang Verein Harmonia. He served his local community as a member of the Brandon Park Commission, the Williamsport Parking Authority and, in his free time, could often be found enjoying a round of golf or tending to his vegetable garden.
Frank’s legacy is carried on by his large and loving family. He is survived by his children: Diana (Daniel) Crisman, Kathy Kocher, Joanne (William) Matty, and Lisa Powers, all of Williamsport; Frank (Melinda) Pugliese of State College; and Cheryl Dugan of Lewisburg. He was the proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucy Burd.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at St. Boniface Church on Saturday, October 3, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, located at 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, with burial to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that memorial contributions in Frank’s name be made to The Presbyterian Home (810 Louisa St., Williamsport, PA 17701), the Susquehanna Health Foundation for the benefit of Susquehanna Family Hospice (1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701), or St. Boniface Parish (326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701).
