Garth R. Gelnett, 49, of Loyalsock Township, died unexpectedly at UPMC Susquehanna ER on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

Garth was born in Williamsport on Aug. 8, 1970, the son of Richard P. and the late Judith Lee (Rothrock) Gelnett.

He was a 1988 graduate of Williamsport High School. After school he started working for Giant Food Stores at various locations. He had worked throughout the territory helping to open new stores and was presently manager at the Selinsgrove location.

Garth enjoyed bicycling, barbecuing, spending time in the swimming pool and just enjoyed the summers outdoor. A wonderful husband, dad, brother, son and provider, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and his beloved dog, Carly.

Surviving in addition to his father, of Williamsport, are his wife and best friend of 30 years, the former Lisa A. O'Brien; his three children, Fletcher, Maggie and Milo Gelnett, all at home; his sister, Felicia L. Gelnett, of Williamsport; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Mary O'Brien, of Pennsdale.

The family will receive friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.
