Glen Edward Morgan, 89, passed away at The Williamsport Home, on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.

Born on July 3, 1930, in Joplin, Missouri, he was the son of Mark and Beatrice (Turk) Morgan.

Surviving are his three children and their families; Steven D. Morgan, of Williamsport, Pa; Valerie J. Moore (John) of Glenshaw, Pa; and Scott T. Morgan (Lydia) of Jerusalem, Israel.  Glen had seven grandchildren, Derek Evans, Jill Girio (Brian), Benjamin Moore (Amy), Jon Morgan, Kathryn Decker (Daniel), Elizabeth Novak (Robert), and Gabrielle Morgan.  He had six grandchildren, Nadia Evans, Mia Girio, Dean Girio, Chloe Moore, Logan Moore, and Yoav Decker.

Glen was a United States Navy veteran and served during the Korean War on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.

He received his PhD in Music (Composition and French Horn) from Indiana University.  He was Chairman of the Music Department at Lycoming College for several years before moving to London, England.  He taught Composition and Music History at Trinity College in London where he earned a Fellowship title, the highest obtainable honor at the college.  He has composed a variety of music pieces and published several of them over his career.  Affectionately called "Doc" by his students, he was greatly admired as a teacher, mentor, and colleague.

Glen "Pop", "Big Pop," was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather who had a great sense of humor and loved to tell many stories.  He will be greatly missed by his family.

Glen's family will welcome friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 East Third Street, Williamsport, Pa, 17701.  Pastor Richard Clark will officiate a service, at 4:00 p.m. following the visitation.  A private burial service for immediate family will be held at Indiantown Gap Military Cemetery
