Grace V. Sheehan, 104, formerly of the 300 block of Walnut Street, passed away at The Williamsport Home on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.

Grace was born in Williamsport on July 3, 1914, a daughter of Thomas and Julia Flanigan Fogarty.

She was a 1932 graduate of St. Joseph's High School, an active and devoted member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and volunteered with the parish center's kitchen crew for many years.

While living in Harrisburg she had been employed with the state government in payroll.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Daniel Caschera (Rosemarie) of Pepper Pike, OH, Sheila Caschera of Mount Pocono, Michael (Canda) Fogarty of Montoursville, Maureen (Roger) Pauling of Manalapan, NJ Julia Fogarty Johnson of Williamsport, many great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews as well as many extended family, that considered her a second mother.

Her husband, Edward J. Sheehan; brother, Matthew Fogarty; sister, Catherine Caschera; and nephew, Stephen Caschera, all preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends in the church portico from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m.  Friday, Dec. 28, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with her pastor, Rev. Brian Van Fossen, officiating. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
