Gretchen H. Kennedy, 84 of Williamsport, passed at The Williamsport Home on December 11, 2024.

She was born in Springfield, OH on March 2, 1940, a daughter to the late James B. and Eleanor A. (Jacobs) Hagy.

Gretchen was a 1959 graduate from Danville Sr High School, and a 1983 graduate of the Williamsport Area Community College (W.A.C.C.). She began working at Hope Enterprises; the Eastern Panhandle Training Center in Martinsburg WV with the mentally handicapped and later went on to work at CMSU MH-MR from 1988 – 1994. She then began working for the American Cancer Society until her grant for the program was over. From there, she worked at Home Depot from 2004 – her retirement.

Gretchen spent much of her free time volunteering. Some involvement included the Community Awareness Program (CAP); Friends of the Thomas Beaver Library; Montour County Genealogy Society; Newton Baker VA Hospital where she helped to start the first Brain Injury Recover Unit in a VA hospital; Bedington Col. Fire Dept. in Martinsburg, WV as a fireman ambulance driver; Williamsport Emergency Management Agency; as well as with the Boy and Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her children, Christine Paulhamus of Williamsport and Harry L. "Skip" Kennedy II of Berwick; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as two step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Gretchen was preceded in death by her son, Michael Fellin.

Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery, Danville at the convenience of the family.
