Harvey Fessler, 92, of Duboistown, passed away on March 10, 2020, in his home following an extended illness, Harvey was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, on June 27, 1927, a son of Harvey and Katie (Zeller) Fessler.

Harvey entered the U.S. Merchant Marines in 1945 serving on the Cornelius Ford and later transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Harvey started his working career as a carpenter and ended up as the mid-Atlantic manger of Electrolux Corp., but his roots as a carpenter stayed with him his entire life, working on his own home and honing his skills as a talented wood carver. He was active in Nisbet United Methodist Church. He was a naturalist, outdoorsman and birdwatcher, taking inspiration for his wood carving from the outdoors. Harvey took great pride in taking care of his lawn and landscaping, but his greatest came from spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Harvey and his wife, the former Cheryl A. Decker, celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on Feb. 24, 2020. Surviving in addition to Cheryl,  are a son, Douglas H. (Rose) of Williamsport; three stepchildren, Tamara L. (Ted) Taylor of South Williamsport, Michael S. Patterson of Richmond Va., and Curtis A. Warnasch of Williamsport; daughter-in-law, Jody Hakes; four grandchildren, Curtis M. Fessler of Williamsport, Allison E. Taylor (Ian Dorman) of Massillon, Ohio, Caitlyn Q. Taylor of South Williamsport, and Sianna L. Stahl of Williamsport; one great-granddaughter, Alice J. Fessler of Williamsport and; a brother, William (Brenda ) Fessler of Lebonan
In addition to his parents, a brother, Harold Fessler and an infant son, Daryl, preceded him in death.
A family graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. at Twin Hill Memorial Park in Muncy on Friday, March 13, with his pastor, Rev. Bruce Wallace officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Harvey's name be made to, Nisbet United Methodist Church, 155 W. Village Drive, Nisbet, PA 17702.
