Helen M. Roman, 87, of Williamsport, passed away at the Gatehouse on Thursday Jan. 16, 2020, with her family at her side.

Helen was born in Pittston on Aug. 22, 1932, a daughter of James F. and Mary C. (Sheridan) Kane.

She was a graduate of Pittston High School and attended The College of Misericordia.

Helen was an active member of the Church of St. Ann and had been employed at Russ Smith Ford, Bill Fry Ford and retired from Fairfield Ford.

She and her husband, Donald G. Roman Sr., celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary June 18, 2019.

In addition, she is survived by five sons and their families, Donald G. Jr., Paul A. (Barbara) all of Williamsport, Jeffrey and Christopher, both of Sterling, Va., and Sean P. (Cynthia), of Williamsport; grandchildren, Eric, Michael, Paul Jr., Matthew, Patrick, Andrew, Mark, Jennifer and Liam;  two great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Kane, of Clark Summit.

In addition to her parents, a granddaughter, Stephanie M. Roman; and two sisters, Mary Theresa and Anne, preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday, Jan. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at St Ann Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport on Tuesday, Jan. 21, with her pastor, Rev. John J. Victoria, officiating, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
