Isabel K. Shumbat, 86, of Williamsport passed away on April 13, 2024.

Isabel was born in Williamsport on May 8, 1937 a daughter of Francis and Hazel (Allison) Keliher.

She was a 1955 graduate of Williamsport High School and a graduate of Lycoming College, she had worked alongside her husband as a secretary for E.L. Shumbat Co. and later as a laboratory technician at Divine Providence Hospital.

Isabel was very active at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church and had served as a greeter as well as the treasurer in the church's Women's Guild. She was a past member of the Williamsport Builders Association, she was also a member of Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer at Divine Providence Hospital, Isabel was a member of the DuBoistown Garden Club, a volunteer at the Community Arts Center and a member of the Red Hat Ladies.

Her husband Joseph Shumbat died May 29, 1985.

Surviving are their children and their families; daughters, Michelle A. (Mike) Rupert, Lisa (Trent) Peacock; sons, Ernie (Dana) Shumbat and Joey (Erin) Shumbat; grandchildren Amanda (Corey) Packard, Maranda Butters, Freddy (Holland) McLaughlin, Joseph Rupert, Samantha (Fiancee Bryant Bitner) Shumbat, Broc (Kristi) Rupert, Gage (Ashlin Zegarski) Shumbat, Felicia Peacock, Taryn (Jonathan Hunsinger) Peacock, Tysen Shumbat, Hayze Shumbat, and Sawyer Shumbat; great grandchildren Sophia Smith, Gwenythfar "Gwenny" Butters, Athena Butters, Delmarah Ali, Akil Ali, Bronxx Shumbat, Ellis McLaughlin, and Freya Shumbat.

In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter, Renee Shumbat, grandson, Josh Butters; sisters, Mary and Sarah "Sally" Keliher and an infant brother all preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April, 18, 2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church with her pastor, Rev. Shawn Simchock officiating, burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
