James Francis Sprinkle, 80, of Williamsport, passed away at home on Saturday, April 27, 2024 surrounded by family.

He was born in Shelbina Missouri on August 6, 1943, a son to the late George L. and Oleta (Post) Sprinkle.

Jim was a member of New Covenant United Church. He worked for Canada Dry Williamsport as a delivery driver and for Pickelner Fuel Oil as a delivery driver and in the garage when needed. He enjoyed tractor pulling and working in the pit with his friends for the BS&B Pulling Team. Jim enjoyed tinkering around the house, working on leather goods, tending to his vegetable garden, as well as teaching his children and grandchildren how to garden. He also coached the Maynard Little League for years.

Jim was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He and his loving wife, the former Sharon L. Lomison, celebrated 53 years of marriage Feb. 3, 2024.

In addition to his wife Sharon, he is survived by their children, James T. (Cassandra) Sprinkle of Kent, WA, John L. (Alicia) Sprinkle of Montoursville, and April D. (James) McStay of Williamsport; grandchildren Piper McStay, Jason Sprinkle, Joshua Sprinkle, and Colton McStay; as well as sister Linda (Richard) Cleveland of Galeton Gateway, MT. In addition to his family, he also adored his beloved cat, Butterscotch.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister Helen (Gene) Dunkin, and brother Donald (Kathryn) Sprinkle.

The family will receive friends and family from 12:00-1:30p on Tuesday May 7th 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport PA 17701 on Tuesday May 7th 2024, at 1:30 with pastor Mark from Susquehanna Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full Military Honors.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jim's name to the Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS), 630 Wildwood Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701 or Family Hospice at UPMC 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport Pa 17701.
