James L. Pfleegor, 77, of Williamsport, passed away at home on Nov. 30, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family.

Jim was born in Wilkes-Barre on Oct. 13, 1942, a son of Paul S. Pfleegor and Lorraine (Wood) Pfleegor Probst

He had been employed by the Pennsylvania State Police in the police communication office. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served from 1964 through 1967 with Co. 10th Aviation Group.

A devoted grandfather, he took great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren; whether it was going to all their sporting events or just picking them up from school, his life revolved around spending time with them.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Carole A. Mix; three children, James L. Pfleegor II (Bobbi), Cathleen A. Lutz, and Cynthia A. Stroble (Michael), all of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Brenton J. Pfleegor, Hannah E. Stroble, and Emily K. Stroble.

In addition to his parents, a granddaughter, Morgan E. Stroble, preceded him in death.

A graveside service in Jersey Shore Cemetery will be held on Friday Dec. 6, at 1 p.m., followed by full military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Jim's name, may be made to Susquehanna Foundations for either the Hillman Cancer Center, or Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
