Jean L. Fox, 81, a native of Williamsport passed away peacefully at the Williamsport Home on January 8, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born in Williamsport on November 4, 1944, a daughter of Carl Orso Sr. and Mae (Durkee) Orso. She was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School and had retired after 20 years at the former Williamsport National Bank.

Jean enjoyed watching the Phillies, the Eagles, and especially the Golden Girls, trips with her twin sister, Jane, to the casinos, watching American Idol with her niece Sherry, spending Friday afternoons with her daughter-in-law for Happy Hour, but her greatest joy was family, cooking for them and bringing them altogether.

She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Fox. They were married on May 31, 1975 and recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

In addition, Jean is survived by their children; Zack Fox, Michael (Megan) Fox; her grandchildren, to whom she was lovingly known as Gigi, Parker Zack Fox and Piper Mae Fox all of Williamsport; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Orso.

On Robert's side of the family, surviving are his siblings; Stanley (Peg) Forrest, Blake (Debbie) Forrest, Jeffrey Forrest, Scott (Laura) Forrest, Keith Forrest, Duane (Margaret Yerna) Forrest an aunt, Phoebe Lomison and many nieces and nephews of both Jean and Bob.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded her in death by; an infant son, Robert C. Fox Jr.; Jean's siblings, Carl Orso Jr, Robert Orso, Ella Johnson,Elizabeth Biddle and twin sister Jane Liddic; Robert's brothers, James Fox and Chester Forrest.

A Funeral Service to honor Jean's life will be held at 10:30 am at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Friday, January 16, 2026. Friends may start gathering at 10am.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Jean's name to be made to a charity of your choice.
