Jean H. Haas, 93, formerly of the 300 block of Adams St. in Williamsport, passed on February 1, 2024 at the Hillside Senior Living Community.

She was born in Williamsport on September 14, 1930, a daughter to the late Eugene and Bernadine (Nittinger) Hanford.

Jean was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and worked for Glamorise Foundations for 27 years as a seamstress. She loved playing cards with the 49ers and was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge #2786 as well as the Notre Dame Club.

Her husband of 63 years, Bernard C. Haas, preceded her in death on May 7, 2013.

She is survived by their children Bernard R. (Pam) Haas of Williamsport, Linda Gizenski of Muncy, Susan (Thomas) Wolf of Williamsport, and Michael (Lisa) Haas of Port Matilda; daughter-in-law, Gail Haas of Greensburg, PA; grandchildren Brittany Haas (April Callahan), Nicholas Haas, Jason (Amy) Haas, Craig (Jennifer) Haas, Joanne Bowman (Bryan Dobson), Charles (Liz) Gizenski Jr., Lindsey Waltz, Jennifer (Barry) Hill, Thomas Wolf Jr., Michelle Haas (Nate), and Neil Haas; great grandchildren Aaron Callahan-Leon, Everett Haas, Eva Haas, Alivia Haas, Liam Haas, Zach Haas, Elizabeth (Ryan) Zwickel, Charles Gizenski, Vivian Gizenski, Barry (Anna) Hill Jr., Toni Lynn (Andy) Hill, Samantha Joe; as well as great-great grandchildren Isaac Hill, Chelsea Zwickel, Preslee Joe, and Dutton Joe.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her son, James Haas and son-in-law Charles Gizenski, and sister Ada (George) Bundy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701, 10am on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends and family from 9-10am in the church prior to the Mass.
