He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Area High School and Williamsport Area Community College, now Pennsylvania College of Technology, with a degree in Tool and Die Making. As a talented artisan and skilled machinist, coupled with his tireless work ethic, he made significant contributions at Litton Industries, GTE Sylvania, and eventually retired from Shop-Vac.

He was an avid scholar with particular focus in history and current events. Bob loved documentaries especially as a history enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing and was an excellent cook - always ready to share his mother's recipes with his family. Bob enjoyed trips to Gettysburg and Valley Forge, but especially valued his Pop-Pop duties of babysitting his grandchildren Paige and Jack. Later in life, he enjoyed estate sales and acquiring unique piggy banks of all kinds.

Bob proudly served as a U.S. Army MP at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas and was later stationed in Hawaii.
