Joseph M. Casale, 80, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly at his home on October 6th, 2024.

Joe was born in Williamsport on March 5th, 1944 to Thomas and Clara (Molino) Casale. Joe attended Williamsport Area High School upon graduation in 1962, he went on to play basketball and study history and education at Mansfield University.

Joe married his high school sweetheart Janice K. Bower with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage and raised five daughters before her death in 2008.

Joe spent his time enjoying nature, football, history, and literature with his friends and family. Joe was an intellect, friend, father, and pop pop. He often spoke of his greatest achievement- being a father and raising his five beautiful daughters.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janice Casale, and an infant daughter.  He is survived by his sister, Angela (Richard) Agnello-Cooper, daughters: Michelle Casale, Denise (Craig) Hiller, Cindy (Dave Eastlake) Casale, Alisia (Tom) McNamee, Gina Casale (Dave Bremigen), and nine grandchildren: Alden Hiller, Aaron James, Alex Hiller, Shayna McNamee, Cada Hiller, Chase Cole, Ryan McNamee, Grace Hiller, and Molly Cole.

Visitation will be held at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport PA 17701 on Friday, October 11 from 6:00-7:30 followed by a Prayer Service and blessing from 7:30-8:00.
