Joyce Mary Morgan, 89, passed away at UPMC Susquehanna,   Williamsport Regional Medical Center on Saturday, February 15, 2020.

Born on December 28, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Douglas and Camille (Branham) Gibbs.

Surviving are her three children and their families, Steven D. Morgan, of Williamsport, Valerie J. Moore (John), of Glenshaw, PA and Scott T. Morgan (Lydia) of Jerusalem, Israel. Joyce had nine grandchildren, Jason Helminiak, Derek Evans, Shane Helminiak (Amy), Jill Girio (Brian), Benjamin (Amy) Moore, Jon Morgan, Kathryn Decker (Daniel), Elizabeth Novak (Robert) and Gabrielle Morgan. She had nine great-grandchildren, Stevannah Helminiak, Nadia Evans, Mia Girio, Dean Girio, Chloe Moore, Logan Moore, Wren Helminiak, Briar Helminiak and Yoav Decker. She was a beloved Aunt to nine very special nieces and nephews and their children. She is also survived by her four-legged faithful companion, Diego, "Doggie."

Joyce received her bachelor's degree at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and her master's degree in Education at Indiana University, in Bloomington Indiana. She was a kindergarten teacher for thirty years in the Williamsport Area School District. Joyce was a member of the Pine Street United Methodist Church since 1961 where she was a member of the choir for as many years.   She was also a founding member of the bell choir. Joyce started the Stephens Ministry at Pine Street, through which she provided comfort and counseling services. In addition, Joyce was a member of the Williamsport Bridge Club for many decades, where she enjoyed her time playing bridge with friends through the years.

Joyce, "Nanny", "Nanny Joyce" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had great love for all her family. Her home was the center of many gatherings and nothing pleased her more than having everyone together. She was an avid world-wide traveler, an adventurer, and planned and treated her family to several vacations. Joyce had a love for amusements parks from the time she was a child and enjoyed yearly trips with her family to Knoebel's Amusement Park. She attended all major family events, including births, birthdays, wedding and graduations of her immediate family as well as her nieces and nephews and their children.

Joyce's family will welcome friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, February 19 ^th , 2020 at Crouse's Funeral Home & Cremations Services, 133 E. Third St, Williamsport. There will be a celebration of life service at Pine Street United Methodist Church at 11am on Thursday, February 20, 2020.
