On Thursday afternoon, January 4, 2024, Karen Michelle Hyden of Williamsport passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 52 with her family by her side.

Karen was born on September 29, 1971 and lived a life full of caring for and supporting the family and friends around her. She loved who she loved fiercely. Karen also loved watching movies and making people smile on social media whether through posts or comments.

She loved celebrating holidays and wouldn't dream of not having her Christmas tree up as early as Halloween so as to not miss one moment of magic. Karen also loved to watch it snow and the fresh blanket of hope it represented. Karen also found so much joy in working with Wise Options through the YWCA and investing in the lives of women in need of support and often dreamed of returning to support the women who she believed needed her.

She will forever be lovingly remembered by her spouse of 22 years, Jerome Hyden; Children: Jerome and Ashley Hyden and her loving puppy Max; Mother: Carol Manwaring; Father: Terry Manwaring; Sisters: Lisa and Mark Bixler and Terri Lynn and Curtis Lauchle; Father in law: Albert Graham; Sisters-in-law: Mary Lewis and Arvette Taylor and Kiana Graham; Brothers-in-law: Alexander and Albert Hyden and Kareem Graham. She also is survived by 24 nieces and nephews and endless loving friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved "Gram Griff,"  Mother-in-law Dorothy Graham, her Sister-in-law Penny Trippett and brother-in-law Alexander Hyden.
