Kathleen "Kathy" G. McFadden, 65, of Plunketts Creek Twp passed away unexpectedly July 6, 2024.

Kathy was born in Williamsport on June 1, 1959, a daughter to the late Perley J. "Pete" and Mary Jane (Hamilton) Swartz.

Kathy attended St. Boniface Church with her beloved husband, Mark.

Kathy enjoyed many things in life. First and foremost, family came first. Kathy's favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved baking cookies, playing board games, attending sporting events, babysitting, and doing anything she could to support them in whatever they did. She enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons playing in shuffleboard leagues at the Harmonia Club, where she and her husband, Mark, won the league title in 2022. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Kathy loved shopping for Hallmark Ornaments, looking for the perfect ones. She made sure that each of her kids, their spouses, and grandkids all received a Hallmark Christmas ornament that showed their interests throughout the year. In addition to Christmas, she loved to watch Hallmark and Lifetime Movies. Kathy never hesitated to help family or friends when needed. She put others first and foremost, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Kathy will be sorely missed by many family and friends, both near and far. She retired from Susquehanna Health/UPMC Nursing Administrations in 2019 after many years of service. Prior to Susquehanna Health/UPMC, Kathy worked at Kmart in payroll.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Mark McFadden, and would have celebrated 44 years together this August 23rd.

In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her children, Brandy (Chad) Davis of Muncy, Ashley (Craig Jr.) Weaver of Montoursville, and Cody (Tara) McFadden of Ruther Glen, VA; grandchildren Cole, Cruz, and Cade Weaver, and Garrett Davis; as well as a sister Mary Ann (Paco) Luttrell of Sedona, AZ, as well as many friends and extended family, all of whom are extremely saddened by her sudden tragic loss.

There will be a private graveside service held at Barbours Cemetery at the convenience of the family with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating.
