Kenneth C. Olson, 92, most recently of Limestone Twp., died at UMPC Williamsport on Tuesday, January 3, 2024.

Ken was born in Williamsport on May 26, 1931, the oldest of seven children to Carl F. and Mary A. (Kohler) Olson.

He was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He started working at the former Nash garage and the for the former Hall's Motor Transit Co. In October of 1952 joined the U.S. Army and served until August of 1954, serving as a Sergeant with HQ & HQ Co, 279th Infantry Regiment, Ken was the recipient of the Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantry Badge and National Defense Service Medal. After returning from the service he went back to work as a diesel mechanic at Hall's until his retirement.

Ken enjoyed the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, Ken was a collector of firearms, a gunsmith, he enjoyed working on firearms, target shooting, and reloading his own shells. Ken was a life member of the NRA, a Life Member of VFW Leroy O. Buck Post 7863, Duboistown and a member of the Teamster Union.

He is survived by fours sisters; Arlene Bachman of Williamsport, Shirley Guerrisky of Montoursville, Jane Webster of South Williamsport and Claire Vibert of Clarkstown and a brother, Raymond Olson of Montgomery.

In addition to his parents, a brother, William, preceded him in death.

A graveside service with full military honors provided by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County will be held,11:00 Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, 5973, Jacks Hollow Rd., Williamsport, PA 17702 with the Rev. Bert Kozen officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Ken's name may be may to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
