Randall Brophy, a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2024.  He was born on August 16, 1938, in New Castle, PA, to Gaylord E. and Ruby L. (Black) Brophy, both who preceded him in death.

It was in rural Mercer, PA where Randall developed his values of hard-work, and personal accountability; traits that were instrumental in both his personal and professional successes.  There he also developed a love of the outdoors, and a life-long appreciation for the simple things in life.

Randall graduated from Grove City High School in 1955 and Grove City College in 1959, where he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering. That same year, he began his career at GTE Sylvania as an engineer. Over the next 36 years, as Sylvania underwent changes in ownership and name, Randall held various managerial positions in different regions of the country, finally retiring in 1995, as GM from North American Philips-Williamsport to become a "full-time Grandpa."

On May 8, 1965, Randall married the love of his life, Mary Elaine Cuneo, in Emporium, PA. They shared 58 wonderful years together, raising their children Mark (Carol) Brophy, Elaine Brophy, and Eric (Laurie) Brophy. He is survived by his devoted wife Mary, his loving children, his grandchildren Kayla (Andrew) Montoro, Taylor Brophy, Elijah Brophy, Collin Brophy and great-granddaughter, Amelia Montoro - his "Little Honey."   Randall is also survived by his siblings Eileen (Allan) Rodgers, Judy (Richard) Lewis, Wayne (Mary Lou) Brophy, and Keith (Donna) Brophy, as well as his life-long best-friend Everett (Mary Emma) Smith.

Randall's dedication to his family was unmatched, and he valued time with his family above all else. Randall was a "guide" to many and loved to share his knowledge with those around him. What might have seemed like a simple outing to Rose Valley Lake, a trip to the Cabin, a fishing or hunting excursion, a game of pool, or just a cup of coffee - all included lessons in life, as well as tips to improve.

In his free time, Randall indulged his passion for the outdoors as an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He found joy in the natural world, particularly in the company of family and friends. Randall was never without his camera, documenting each adventure, with thousands of photographs over the years.

Randall will be deeply missed, but forever cherished in the hearts of all who knew him. May his legacy of love, kindness, and compassion live on in the memories of those who are fortunate enough to have had him in their lives.

Randall is characterized by a generous heart. He shared his time, talents, and treasures with family and friends, as well as numerous charitable organizations. He valued the opportunity to improve beyond circumstances and wanted to help others to do the same. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
