Lawrence R. Eiswerth, 82, a long-time resident of South Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Williamsport on February 20, 1943, a son of the late Lawrence W. and Helen S. (Sliwinski) Eiswerth.

Larry was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School, now St. John Neumann Regional Academy. After graduation, he was employed at the former Bethlehem Steel for over 20 years and then had a lawn mowing business. He enjoyed being outside working in his yard and garden, riding his bike around South Side, and playing games of chance. Larry was an avid sports fan, especially Penn State and the Dodgers.

His wife of 22 years, the former Mary Grace Casale died June 5, 1988.

Surviving are his children and their families; Melissa A. (Thomas C.) Baier of Williamsport, Christopher L. (Renee Lynn) Eiswerth of South Williamsport; grandchildren, Colin (Mareike) Baier of Ludwigsfelde, Germany, Evan (Iris) Baier of Harveys Lake, Lilly MaryGrace Eiswerth of South Williamsport and great-grandson, Kjelt Baier of Ludwigsfelde. Larry is also survived by sisters; Dolores Ritter, Shirley (Tom)Sellinger , Carol (Jerry)Turk, Charlene Eiswerth, Jackie (Scott) Harris and brothers David (Karen) and Stephen (Crystal), along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, a sister Cathy M. Eiswerth and brother-in-law Robert Ritter preceded him in death.
