Margaret Ellen Brooke, 98, of Williamsport, passed peacefully on Aug. 14, 2024, at the Muncy Place, Muncy.
She was born Margaret Ellen McCoy on Jan. 11, 1926 to Robert B. McCoy and Mildred L. Schley, of Williamsport.
A graduate of Williamsport High School, Margaret went on to work for Stroehmann Bakeries (bread division) until her retirement. During her employment and retirement years, she raised a family, enjoyed traveling with sisters to such places as Hawaii and Florida and downtime with friends. She was an avid baker, much to the delight and request of her grandchildren, and an accomplished seamstress.
Margaret had four beloved siblings whom preceded her in death, Annebelle "Annie" Welliver, Joan "Jody" Adams, Gerald "Jerry" McCoy and Rebecca "Becky" Briggs. She raised three children, Linda Waltz, of South Williamsport, Cathy Bower, of Bastress Township; and a son, (who preceded her in death), Richard Brooke Jr.
Adored by her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, her dedication and commitment to family is her legacy.
The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the attention and care the dedicated individuals at The Muncy place provided Margaret.

Burial in Montoursville Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
