Margaret "Peggy" N. Smith, 83, of Williamsport, passed at home surrounded by her family on August 14, 2024.

Peggy was born in Williamsport on August 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Walter and Charlotte (Rolley) Niklaus.

She briefly worked as a teacher aide, then Phlebotomist at Divine Providence Hospital for some time, but was most known for her time as a real estate agent. She was a member of the Four Mile PTA when her children were in school, a member of the Williamsport Arts Council, YWCA Board of Directors, the Real Estate Commission of Lycoming Co Board of Review, Realtor, as well as a member of the Democratic Club. Peggy was also a longtime "Host Mom" to many Williamsport Crosscutters, opening her home and heart to minor league players for Phillies. Peggy was also the family hostess, reigning over many holidays and celebrations throughout the years.

Peggy's husband of 55 years, Dale L. Smith, preceded her in death on May 23, 2014.

She is survived by their daughters, Debra "Debi" (Seth) Burch of Williamsport and Susan "Susie" (Craig) Frischman of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Clarke Frischman of Denver, CO, Reed (Madeline "Maddie") Frischman of Pittsburgh, Cole Frischman of Pittsburgh and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband; her brothers, Dr. Ronald "Skip" and Wilfred "Bill" Niklaus; and sisters, Joanne Smith and Carol Van Zile all preceded her in death

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2024 at Resurrection Cemetery, 4323 Lycoming Mall Rd., Muncy, PA 17756, A memorial mass will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church following completion of ongoing construction at the church.
