Marilouise A. Silvagni, 95, of Loyalsock Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at The Gatehouse, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Muncy on Dec. 29, 1923, a daughter of Reno W. and Marguerite (Phillips) Hill. Marilouise was a 1941 graduate of Muncy High School where she had been a cheerleader.
She had been an active member and volunteer at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, where she had served as president of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Marilouise enjoyed Italian cooking, shopping, traveling and was an avid Penn State fan, but her greatest joy was her role as Nanny, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Her husband of 71 years, Angelo C. Silvagni, died on March 21, 2014.
Surviving are her children, Angela C. Silvagni, of Loyalsock Township, Michael W. (Faith) Silvagni, of Williamsport, Melanie S. (Rusty) Thomas, of Loyalsock Township; grandchildren, Mary Jo (Kurt) Westbrook, Eric (Kristina) Lukehart, Alex Mendler, Sara Greenaway, Tripp Thomas, Taite (Lissy) Thomas, Kelsey and Angelo Silvagni; great-grandchildren, Marissa Barnett, Aaron Westbrook, Tanden Thomas; and a sister, Eleanor Starr, of Montoursville.
In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter, Barbara Jo Lukehart; and three brothers, William, Harold and Ronnie Hill preceded her in death.
The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, with her pastor, Rev. John J. Victoria officiating, burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Marilouise's name may be made to, Susquehanna Health Foundation for the benefit of The Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
