Mark A. Confer, 66, of Williamsport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 8, 2024.

He was born in Williamsport on January 19, 1957, a son of Adam C. and Rosemarie (Stewart) Confer.

Mark started his working career at Russ Smith Ford, then to Faxon Bowling Lanes and then working with his father at Adam's Auto Alignment, until his final career move to the U.S. Postal Service. He retired in 2014 after 25 years as a letter carrier.

A very spiritual man, he received great comfort when reading and studying the King James Version of the Bible. Mark had a great love of Jesus and tried to have others accept Jesus into their lives.

Mark enjoyed bowling, playing chess, he was a member of the US Chess Federation, he also followed the Raider's football team from the age of 12. In addition, Mark enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycle, playing the guitar and for the last 9 years, stopping at Long John Silver's for his usual.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Williamsport, are his wife of 44 years, he and his wife the former Paula Fischer were married August 25, 1979, their children and their families; Carolyn R. Werner (Larry) of Sellersville, Heather L. Baehr (Matt) of Millersville; grandchildren, Levi, Joel, Callia and Naomi Baehr and Reese Werner; brother, Gregory Confer (Bonnie) of Loganton; sister Jill Kinley (Kevin) of Williamsport ; a brother-in-law, Joe Dudek of Williamsport and many nieces and nephews. Mark also leaves behind his best friend, Joe Zelewicz of MI.

In addition to his father, twin grandchildren, Elise and Kacie Werner and a sister, Karen Dudek all preceded him in death.

The family will receive family and friends at Crouse Funeral Home on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 9 to 10:30.

A funeral service, to honor the life of Mark will be held 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on January 11, 2024 with his son-in-law, Matt Baehr, officiating, followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
