Mary Lou (Musheno) Engel, 86, passed peacefully at her daughter's home in Gaithersburg, Md., on March 1, 2020.

She was born May 7, 1933, to parents Verna and Frederick Musheno.

She was a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic High School, Williamsport, where she met her high school sweetheart, Wendel Engel. They married in 1955 and had 56 beautiful years together. She worked at Northern Central Bank, retired in early 2000 and spent her retirement with Wendel in Sarasota, Fla.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Engel Penfield; son-in-law, Brian H. Penfield; granddog, Rosie, all of Laytonsville, Md.; and three brothers and sisters, Paul Musheno, of Williamsport, Francis Musheno, of Parrish, Fla., and Sylvia Kuna, of Williamsport, along with many, many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendel; and her brothers, Bill and James Musheno.

Family and friends may call at Crouse's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, on Wednesday, March 4, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on March 5 at 9 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, followed by burial service at Wildwood Cemetery, Wildwood Boulevard, Williamsport.

Following the burial service, friends and family are welcome to gather at Mary Lou's niece and nephew's home, Mary Jo and Maurice Bower, at 81 Marshall Court, Williamsport, for lunch and refreshments.
