Mary L. Steinbacher, 93, formerly of Grove Street, Williamsport, and a resident of The Williamsport Home, passed away on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020, at UPMC Susquehanna ER, with her family at her side.

She was born in Muncy Valley on Oct. 22, 1926, a daughter of Charles W. and Ida (Swisher) Reed.

Mary had been a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, she had worked at the former Raymond's Gift Shop and enjoyed cross-stitch and crocheting.

Her husband of 55 years, Leo H. Steinbacher, died on Sept. 19, 2003.

Surviving are her children, Gerald L. (Sally) Steinbacher, of Montoursville, Jacqueline M. Mosteller, of Linden, and Dale J. (Shayne) Steinbacher, of Jersey Shore; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, a son, A. Steven Steinbacher; daughter, Shirley A. Stahl; granddaughter, Nicole S. Steinbacher; brother, Donald Reed, and an infant brother, Dale Reed, all preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at the church from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, at 1 p.m. Feb. 28, with Rev. William Corcoran officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
