Mary A. Tewell, 83, resident of South Williamsport, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Williamsport Home.

Mary was born in Pittsburgh on April 26, 1942, a daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor (Altman) Yockel.

She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, a homemaker she enjoyed quilting and baking.

Her husband of 46 years, Harry D. Tewell Jr., died April 18, 2010.

Surviving are their children and their families; Laura (Sam) Esposito, Steven C. and Michael P. Tewell; grandchildren Nikki Hunter, Kaitlin and Brandon Tewell, and Noah, Tanner, and Colin Esposito; great granddaughter, Braylee Esposito and brothers; Howard and Rich Yockel.

In addition to her parents and husband; brothers, Robert, Clyde and Paul Yockel Sr.; sisters, Marcella, Thelma, Wilma and Elizabeth all preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends at the church from 9:30 to 11 am on Tuesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport 11:00 am Tuesday, December 16, 2025 followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery.
