Maxine Shindle Vannucci, wife, mother and a partner in her husband's business, passed April

8, 2020 in her home in Williamsport (Loyalsock), Pa. Maxine was a forerunner to the modern day woman, running a household, raising her children and caring for family members, while at the same time, acting as the mainstay to the Vannucci Foto Services founded by her husband Putsee Vannucci and her brother-i n-law Art Vannucci. She was the receptionist, scheduler, bookkeeper, clerk and even photographer for over fifty years.

Maxine was born May 31, 1922 in a log cabin in Indian Park in Montoursville to Lena (Wetherill) and Ralph Shindle,

Maxine graduated from Williamsport High School in 1940. She immediately secured a job as a secretary by the Civil Service Commission in the Office of the Army Recruiters. During World War II Maxine worked in the Army Air Force office at what was then Lycoming Division of the Aviation Corporation with Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven under their charge as well.

After the war Maxine worked in Williamsport's Brozman's Department Store keeping the books. This was where she met the love of her life, Putsee, who came in and out Brozman's on business. Married in 1946, Maxine and Putsee eventually built their home in Loyalsock Twp. and remained there together for 61years.

Maxine enjoyed playing bridge as a member of the Williamsport Women's Club. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. During a 5 year period living in Pittsburgh with family, she enjoyed the 'hills', playing scrabble, reading, eating out at 'Bob's Diner', and watching the Steelers.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Peters and Kaye Ward and niece Prudence Peters. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Jamieson (Hugh), of Pittsburgh, son John Vannucci, of Pittsburgh, and daughter Tamara LaCerra (Richard) of Williamsport, and grand-children Gina Maria Jamieson, J.T. Jamieson, Hope Vannucci, Justine Frederick, and Salvatore Frederick; step-grandchildren Valerie LaCerra, Erin LaCerra , Emily Chubirka, Joey LaCerra and Anthony LaCerra; niece Demiris Peters Robbins and nephews David and Richard Ward. Longtime friend to Maxine and Putsee, Charles (Chuck) Lucas also survives and is considered family by all. Each of Maxine's children happily contributed to her care after a lifetime of receiving care from her, but a special thank you goes to her son-in-law Hugh, for the care and attention afforded to Maxine during her 5 years in Pittsburgh.

The family would like to extend thank yous to: their personal caretakers and Home Instead who helped the family over the last 2 1/2 years, to the staff and residents at the Presbyterian Home where Maxine resided for 2 years before returning to her own home, to UPMC Hospice for their loving care to Maxine and their support to her family, and to Maxine's lifelong physician Dr.

Ciccarelli.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service in Wildwood Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Due to the Covid Virus, the family will announce a memorial at a later date.
